Mapping Collective Wellbeing: Advancing Opportunities for Systems Change
Across the globe, organizations, municipalities, and communities are using collective wellbeing as a framework to reimagine what’s possible for tomorrow in the midst of significant challenges today. In the United States, there is growing interest in collective wellbeing as a concept, process, and outcome. At the same time, we need to identify the skills, tools, mindsets, and relationships required to bring collective wellbeing to life in equitable and sustainable ways.
In partnership with Civic Wellbeing Partners in Santa Monica, California, The Institute for Collective Wellbeing is mapping emerging initiatives across the U.S. that take a place-based approach to collective wellbeing and center racial equity as a core value. Additionally, we are identifying global exemplars that shed light on opportunities for adaptation in the United States.
With support from the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation (RWJF), we will explore such pressing questions as:
Who are the key stakeholders, organizations, initiatives, and resources in the collective wellbeing system?
What relationships exist between stakeholders?
What are the knowledge, relational, and skills gaps?
What are the structures, policies, and narratives that create systems of collective wellbeing?
What would help address gaps in timely, equitable, & sustainable ways?
What will really bring to life the “how of wellbeing?”
Stay tuned for updates!
